The IOM Ladies hockey team have won the Inter Islands Hockey Tournament in Guernsey.  They had a fantastic run in the group stage by beating Bermuda, Orkney, Guernsey and drawing with Jersey.  This meant they faced Jersey in the final which they won 2-1.  Goals came from Kim Carney and our very own Andrea Kneen.  Karmina Kovanda was also in the squad and played very well.  Zoe Carney collected the Man of the Match award.

The Men's team were unfortunate to miss out on reaching the final and had to settle for 3rd place.  They also had a great start to the tournament with a 1-0 win over Jersey but then could only manage a 2-2 draw against an under-strength Bermuda side.  This meant a result was required over Guernsey to reach the final but the lads ran out of steam during the third match of a very hot day to lose 6-1.  On Sunday, they played Bermuda in the 3rd/4th place play-off and won 5-3.  One of the scorers was Chris Caldwell.

Also, Jonah Hull was appointed to umpire the Men's final between Jersey & Guernsey alongside Andy Mair.  The match was all going in Jersey's favour who had a 3-1 lead at half-time but Guernsey came out fighting and take the match 5-4.  Andy Whalley, Guernsey & England Mixed Captain, was the star of the show scoring four goals and collected the Man of Match award.
