Steven Lowe has just been selected for the JRPC Tier 1 Manchester Pumas Under 16's squad after attending trials in the UK.

At the beginning of the process there were almost fifty candidates with the initial assessments focusing on stamina and fitness. Steven then attended four separate training sessions with each one lasting up to six hours, so a high standard of fitness was required. Skills and tactics were the main focus of the sessions with each one ending in a short game. Steven was then selected in a squad of 18 players to represent the Manchester Pumas in a Tier 1 competition against the Leeds and Durham Pumas on the weekend on 13th September.
